On April 13^th, after 18 months’ endeavor and joint effort, China Sunrise (Group) Co., Ltd. takes delivery of its first self-elevating muti-purpose offshore unit (Liftboat) from Qingdao Haixi Heavy-duty Machinery Co., Ltd. Prior to the delivery, key tests, trials and commissioning of the unit have been well completed and accepted by class surveryor and client from Middle East. It will set sail for operation in Middle East starting from May.

This liftboat adopts SE-300LB design and is classed by ABS. Main dimension is listed as below:

Max. operating water depth: 60m

Deck area: 1500㎡

Variable load: 1800T

Main crane capacity: 190T @40m (max)

This unit is able to operate in multiple sea areas and can be used to support offshore oilfield developemnt, oilfield maintenance, EOR (enhanced oil recovery), workover, wind farm installation, accommodation and etc.

As a bright spot in the current depressed offshore market, successful delivery of the unit plays an important role for Sunrise Group in marching into offshore engineering equipment market, building stronger presence in the industry and actively taking part in international competition. Meanwhile, delivery of the unit itself manifests the improvement and maturity of domestic offshore engineering equipment technology and will certainly promote further development of offshore industry in China.
